Field Training Manager | Walman Optical

JOB SUMMARY: Manage, design, develop, coordinate and conduct large or small scale training programs in support of Walman Optical initiatives. Work closely with sales team, marketing and Director of Education to develop and execute training to sales team for use in their territories. QUALIFICATIONS: •Four year college degree and three years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on PowerPoint development. Experience with web based training programs. •Certified Optician by American Board of Opticianry, ABO Master Level and by National Contact Lens Examiners NCLE preferred. Speaker approved for both areas. Specialized knowledge of optical industry preferred. •Proven ability to provide effective training program to adult learners through traditional and modern training methods. •Willingness to travel by auto and air a minimum of 30% of the time, with overnight stays required. Make outbound calls to customers to update the status of their service work, obtain approval to proceed with repair and provide estimated turnaround time on repair. Manage all incoming and outgoing loaner equipment. Process daily work orders from the Inside Service Dept. Other responsibilities include preparing service quotations for customers, follow-up on previously submitted quotations and manage status of manufacturer repairs. JOB SUMMARY: The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for creative design and development of eyewear collections (licensed brands and private label) for direct, wholesale, and alternate channels of business as well key retail accounts, under the direction of the Director of Product Development. JOB SUMMARY: Manage and execute engineering projects involving the design, development, maintenance and integration of optical coating equipment and processes.
